The October 2015 issue of Martha Stewart Living features some cute and clever ideas but is quite light on Halloween content compared to past issues. The cover is more Fall than Halloween for instance, a pattern of recent years. I became excited when I turned on the page with the second image below only to see it was an ad for Pier One ;-)

2015 Martha Stewart Halloween Special Issue
There's a Martha Stewart special Halloween issue out - saw this at Target from Meredith which now publishes MSL. It's from what I can tell, a rehash of their favorite things from over the years, but it's nicely laid out.

Martha Stewart Living October 2014 Magazine
The always anticipated Martha Stewart Living October issue is now on stands and features a spooky back cover and flipped side entry of Halloween items -- usually there's a special Halloween issue on stands--not so this year. Here's some highlights from the issue--I especially like the Sleepy Hollow pumpkin carving.

Meringue Bones - Sweet & Sinister!
What happens when you go to make Key Lime pie and only need the egg yolks? You can make meringue cookies with the discarded egg whites! Here's the Martha Stewart Meringue Bones recipe - so easy as you can see from the 2 steps below--but I won't show you how mine came out ;-) It might be too "horrifyingly spooky" - I'll show you what they're supposed to look like. Note to self: don't substitute a Ziploc bag for a pastry bag and then cut the tip too big ;) I'll show off my improved bones at my annual Halloween party this year!

Martha Stewart Pumpkin Ghost
When I saw this light-up ghost/pumpkin at Garden Ridge, I realized it looks a lot like these pumpkin ghosts from Martha Stewart - so if you'd like to recreate this look without having to make it yourself, check these out.

Martha By Mail Halloween Catalogs
I don't know about you, but one thing I always looked forward to in the early 2000's was the Martha By Mail Catalog--mostly the Halloween issue, naturally ;-) Here are some of the covers for the catalog--which you can see at Martha Moments Blog run by Andrew Richie - covers credited to Andrew. I ordered a few things from time to time--including the witch metal lantern seen on the bottom image.
